What the playacebook Legal Framework Covers

Our legal terms set out your rights, our obligations, and how access works across eligible US states — because state law governs online gaming and what's available where you are. Read this before you open an account so nothing surprises you later.

LEGAL CONTACT PATHS

How to Reach Us for Legal or Policy Questions

If you have a question about a specific clause, want to submit a data access request, or need to dispute a transaction processed through PayPal, Venmo, or Play+, we have three direct paths. Legal requests tied to account closure or data deletion get priority routing — just flag the subject line accordingly and our policy team responds separately from general account support.

Legal Email Send policy questions, data access requests or formal dispute notices to our legal inbox. Include your account ID and the specific clause or transaction you are referencing.
Live Chat — Account Policy Start a live chat session from your account dashboard and select the Policy and Legal topic. Agents can escalate to the compliance team during business hours for time-sensitive matters.
Written Request via Account Settings Log in, go to Account Settings, then Legal and Privacy to submit a data deletion or terms objection request directly. This path creates an auditable record tied to your account.
DATA AND ACCOUNT SECURITY

How We Handle Your Data, Cookies and Account Records

Your account data — including identity verification documents, payment method records for PayPal, Venmo and Play+, and session history — is stored with encryption at rest and in transit. We retain transaction records for the period required by the state regulatory framework that applies to your account. You can request a summary of what we hold at any time through the Account Settings path described above.

Cookie Policy

We use session cookies for login continuity and analytics cookies to understand how you move through the lobby. You can manage cookie preferences from the footer of any page.

Identity Verification Records

Documents submitted during ID verification are held only for the period mandated by applicable state law. We do not share them with third parties outside the verification process.

Payment Data Retention

PayPal, Venmo and Play+ transaction references are retained as part of your account ledger. You can view them in the Transactions tab; deletion requests are subject to regulatory retention minimums.

Account Access Logs

Every login — whether from a mobile browser or the app on iOS or Android — is logged with a timestamp and device type. You can review recent sessions under Account Security and flag anything unrecognized.

Frequently Asked Legal and Policy Questions

These are the questions we hear most often from people reading our legal terms for the first time. If yours isn't here, the live chat Legal and Policy topic gets you to a real answer faster than searching the full terms document.

Access depends on whether real-money online gaming is permitted under your state's current law. We operate where local regulations allow it — check your state's online gaming rules before opening an account.

Log in, go to Account Settings, then Legal and Privacy, and submit a data access request. Our policy team processes these separately from general support and will respond with a full account data summary.

Payment method references are removed from active use immediately on account closure. Transaction records are retained for the period required by state regulations, then deleted per our data retention schedule.

Our terms include a binding arbitration clause. Disputes are resolved individually through arbitration rather than class action. Full details, including how to initiate arbitration, are in the Dispute Resolution section of the terms document.

State-specific addenda may apply based on where you registered. If you relocate to a state with different regulations, your account access and applicable terms may change — contact support to review your account status.

We send a notification to the email address on your account whenever terms change. The effective date and a summary of what changed are included. Continuing to use your account after that date means you accept the updated terms.
